‘A picture is more powerful than a 1000 words’
I saw this Business Today cover late last month and it hit me hard. It screamed to me that something is terribly wrong if not a single woman made it.
Given only 3% of the CEOs of NSE-listed companies are women, maybe this isn’t a surprise. And I know there are a million things we need to fix to change this picture – many of them are deep, systemic issues.
Given only 3% of the CEOs of NSE-listed companies are women, maybe this isn’t a surprise. There are a million things we need to fix to change this picture. My energy is on what I can do.
My intention: to support powerful, ambitious women on their journey to CEO.
It is not an easy road. It is tough and it is lonely.
And it is even harder for women – the context, lack of role models, balance of responsibilities at home – all make it so. Plus there are our own internal battles; sometimes we end up holding ourselves back.
However, there is hope. I have seen how coaching can create powerful personal transformation and allow us to operate at our absolute best. It creates the thoughtful, safe space for us to set high aspirations and grow into them.
I would love to hear from you if:
- You are an ambitious woman looking for a partner for your journey to CEO
- You are a business / HR leader looking to create the pipeline for women executives in your organization
- You have walked this journey and are willing to share it with others for inspiration
- You have other ideas for specific action
You can get in touch with me here.
I hope by the time my daughter enters the workforce, this picture would have changed. And I have a burning desire to play my role in changing it.
